After just over a year in operation, the first and only nudist restaurant in Paris has announced that it will close its doors next February. The owners of O’Naturel, located in the 12th district of the French capital, have confirmed the closure of this local pioneer due to lack of clientela, according to the French newspaper ‘Le Parisien’.

“Thank you for participating in this adventure.. We will only remember the good times, the meetings with beautiful people and clients who were delighted to share exceptional moments”, wrote its owners, the twins Mike and Stéphane Saada, through a message on Facebook.

“Book quickly to enjoy a last naked dinner in Paris. Now or never!”added the owners, who do not practice nudism and served the tables dressed.

O’Naturel opened its doors in November 2017 and drew international media attention for its innovative proposal. It was designed to offer “the naked pleasure of dining throughout the year in the capital, in accordance with naturist values”as advertised on its website.

Customers leave their clothes in the cloakroom at the entrance, keeping only the slippers provided by the house, except for the women who prefer to keep their heels on. The restaurant offers two menus to diners: one for 39 euros and another for 49.

France is the top nudist destination in the world with a total of 2.6 million people. This figure exceeds four million people in the summer months, according to data from the Paris Nudist Association (ANP).
